This is the first in a six-part series which will showcase the projects built by the Top 6 teams of the #WorldInnovationDay Hackathon. This was the biggest hackathon by Hackmakers in collaboration with the UN Environmental Programme, dedicated to developing innovative and creative solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN.

Health and Well-Being Challenge - Sustainable Development Goal 3
The Sustainable Development Goal of Health and Well-Being ensures healthy lives and promotes well being at all ages. The targets cover and focus on various aspects of healthy life and a healthy lifestyle. The SDG 3 aims to achieve universal health coverage, that seeks equitable access of healthcare services to all men and women.
Problem Statement
Entering the millennium Era, health technology in the world seems to be increasingly developing with a real-time online consultation feature with doctors.
Motivation
Technological developments in the healthcare sector will provide better access to patients to get healthcare services without having to leave their house.
Solution
Medicall is an application that focuses on online consultation for patients. Created by a team of innovative and creative individuals, the app allows the patients to choose their preferred hospital, consult their preferred doctor, book an appointment and even buy the prescribed medications online from pharmacies.
Featured Highlights
Homepage : The homepage of the application displays not just the registered hospitals but also the various services provided by the application such as recommended doctors, nearest hospitals, nearest pharmacies, attractive offers, etc.
User Preference : Users can choose preferred hospitals and doctors who are registered under the application
Ease of Operations : When a patient books appoint online and the doctor consults them via message or video call, the whole process is a lot easier and safer for both the patient and the doctor
Delivery at Doorstep : Medicall allows the patient to purchase prescribed medications online which Medicall delivers to the patient’s address via their tracking records
What does the Application do?
The app allows the user to register in the application
Login with their registered credentials
Check the doctors in your preferred hospital
Consult with your preferred doctor via message or even a video call. We can even check the doctor’s schedule and visit the hospital by booking an appointment
Buy the prescribed medications online from the registered pharmacies and receive the bill
Track the order through the purchase record of your medications, on the application
Get the medications delivered on your doorsteps by Medicall
The application also provides the user with 4 vouchers which they can use for future consultations
